Curan Advantage

Curan Advantage is a catheter that offers a potential solution for men and women with bladder problems. A doctor or specialist will decide if intermittent catheterisation with Curan Advantage is suitable for you. This catheter is available as Curan Advantage Lady (14 cm), Curan Advantage Man (42 cm) or Curan Advantage Unisex (30 cm).

Unisex is suitable for men who are looking for a catheter with a medium catheter length. The Unisex can be a handy solution for women who are struggling with their weight and so need a longer catheter.

Ready to use straightaway

Apart from the necessary hygienic preparations, there is very little preparation required. That’s what we mean by ‘ready to use straightaway’. While the hydrophilic coating is being activated by the water you can get yourself ready for catheterisation.

Irritation- and discomfort-free insertion

Curan Advantage has smooth polished eyelets so that insertion is reliable, comfortable and painless, without risk and irritation. Curan Advantage Man and Unisex both come with the unique Blue Grip®, a handy insertion aid, so that the catheter can be inserted without skin contact. This is more hygienic and significantly decreases the chance of infection. It’s also practical: it makes inserting the Curan Advantage Man and Unisex a little bit easier.

Comfort coating

Hydrophilic coating is a special layer on the catheter that is activated as soon as it comes into contact with the sterile water that is enclosed with the catheter. The sterile water comes in a leak-proof water pocket and is easy to open with a quick pinch. The sterile water activates the hydrophilic coating in around 25 seconds.
This coating provides additional comfort during insertion, without risk or irritation. It’s not called ‘comfort coating’ for nothing! Curan Advantage catheters come with this hydrophilic coating.

In its development of catheters, Curan promotes maximum quality and safety. The safety and performance of our catheters have been tested, evaluated and documented extensively. We guarantee the same reliable experience at any moment of use. Additionally, our catheters are equipped with advanced techniques reducing the risk of urinary tract infections. Our Blue Grip® insertion guide is a great example. This insertion guide is a convenient aid for men, allowing the contact-free insertion of a catheter. This is more hygienic and therefore reduces the risk of infections. Our products are covered by a CE Certificate and ISO13485 Certification; an official recognition that we, as a manufacturer, only place safe medical appliances on the market.
