Michael’s user experience

On how he can live independently again thanks to the Curan Closed System

Several years ago, my life changed drastically when a neurological condition put me in a wheelchair. This situation brought many challenges and uncertainties, especially in terms of my personal care. The biggest challenge was my bladder problem. Due to my limited mobility, it was difficult to empty my bladder properly. This led to urinary tract infections and sometimes unwanted urination.

The step to the Curan Closed System

When my doctor recommended the Curan Closed System, I immediately felt that this could be the solution I was looking for. I had not tried a completely closed system before and was curious about the benefits. Being a complete system (the catheter and integrated collection bag), the system is particularly suitable for me, due to my limited mobility. The insertion tip helps me empty my bladder hygienically and safely and reduces the risk of urinary tract infections. This is important because every extra precaution can make a big difference to me. I no longer have to worry now.

Ease of use and self-reliance

What really stands out for me about the Curan Closed System is its ease of use. The catheter is designed to be easy to use independently, even with limited hand function. Insertion is smooth and effortless. This has greatly increased my self-reliance. I can now empty my bladder without help from others. As a result, I have less stress and more self-confidence.

Better quality of life

Since I’ve been using this catheter, I hardly ever suffer from urinary tract infections anymore. I go to parties with confidence again and enjoy spontaneous outings with my family again, without constantly worrying about my bladder problems. The Curan Closed System has given me back the sense of freedom and independence I thought I had lost.
